TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 3 of Term 1.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

How is it already week 3? Time is flying! Our theme for this week is “Love is in the Air”. This week was filled with lots of fun! We spent our afternoons doing lots of Valentine’s Day art and craft activities, we made Valentine wreaths, personalised cards for our loved ones, Valentine’s rocket ships and painted a handprint heart tree. Also, the kids got creative in the Art Room painting lovely art pieces developing their fine motor skills, creativity and hand-eye co-ordination skills and they loved it! In the morning, we had a weekend check-in where the children excitedly shared their weekend adventures - it was amazing to see the children demonstrating their communication and social skills! Also, we played group games on the oval including Everybody’s It, Fruit Salad, Night Guard and even had a few of the kids competing against each other in a friendly soccer match whilst others played in the sandpit and built gigantic sandcastles!

PUPIL OF THE WEEK

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Caleb in 6ML, for always treating everyone with respect and demonstrating the school values when attending TheirCare. Well done Caleb! You should be very proud of yourself.
