Term 3 - week 7

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move into the final two weeks of Term 3, it has been a wonderful week of learning and celebration. Book Week was a real highlight, with students eager to explore a wide range of new books and resources available for purchase. The much-anticipated Book Week Character Parade was held in our outdoor assembly area. We were lucky with the weather—after several weeks of online assemblies due to rain, the skies cleared for a beautiful day. It was fantastic to see so many creative costumes, both old favourites and new characters. The effort and thought families put into preparing costumes was clear, and the excitement from both students and teachers was a joy to see. Thank you to the many parents who attended and shared in the celebration.
Planning is well underway for our Naranga 50-Year Celebration on Wednesday, 26 November. While details are still being finalised, the school will be open later in the day to welcome current families as well as past students, families, and staff. We are already receiving many enquiries, so please be sure to save the date in your calendar.
This term, I have also been fortunate to be part of a wonderful program for our Koori students. Each Monday, staff from Nairm Marr Djambana visit and engage students in cultural activities and learning. From this program, we have begun planning an Indigenous Garden in a prominent location within the school. The site has been chosen, and plans are underway for this exciting project.
Finally, I encourage all parents to complete the Parent Opinion Survey. The link has been sent out multiple times and there is still time to take part. Your feedback provides us with valuable insights that inform our planning, priorities, and allocation of resources for the future. If you have any trouble accessing the survey, please contact the office and Brooke or Dani will be happy to assist.
