Principal's Report

Dear Families,

We are half way through the term and there has been a lot going on!

Grade 5/6 Choir

On Tuesday evening the Grade 5/6 choir participated in The Boîte Schools Chorus. This is an un-auditioned choir project for schools and community youth choirs. Since 2004 the Boîte Schools Chorus has involved over 9000 students from across Victoria in 42 concerts in Melbourne, Frankston, Ballarat, Bairnsdale & Albury. The Boite Schools Chorus project invites students into a new world through song, builds confidence, broadens horizons and develops valuable performance and interpersonal skills. In 2026 the Boîte Schools Chorus will venture into the songs and culture of Ghana, guided by cultural leaders who teach the choir and bring the music to life through stories, dance and song. The 2026 program, Akoma - The Heart was a unique invitation to visit the music and culture of Ghana. It offers students an opportunity to develop musical and performance skills, and experience the joy of singing in a large, vibrant choir. It was a fabulous event and enjoyed by all!

Athletics Day

On Thursday, our Grade 4 - 6’s participated in our School Athletics Carnival. Even though Melbourne’s weather was a bit dreary, that didn’t dampen the spirits of our athletes. A special thank you to Ben for organising the day and our staff and parent volunteers too!

Teddy Bears' Picnic

Last Friday, we hosted our 2027 Foundation families for a special meet and greet. We are excited for all our new students to join us and look forward to creating some wonderful memories over their years in Primary School.

Movie Magic

A big thank you to the parents and families who organised the FNPS Grade 3 - 6 Movie Event. Lovely to have the community connect over a film! 

Tournament of the Minds

Tournament of Minds (TOM) is an international, problem-solving program and academic competition for primary and secondary students.A huge congratulations to our students who participated on the weekend and we had one group that made it to the next round (State) for the second year in a row! A special thanks to Tylah and Bronte for working with our students and Tylah for attending the event.
