Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back! It has been great to see students return this week and get straight back into learning.

I spent some time in our Prep and Grade 1 classrooms this week and they were wasting no time. Students were settled, engaged and already well into their learning. It was a great reminder that while Term 4 is always busy and brings plenty of exciting things with it, there is still a lot of important learning ahead.

Across the school, classes have settled back into routines quickly and we’re looking forward to a strong finish to the year.

Sharing Our Learning at Assembly

Something new for Term 4 will be having different year levels and specialist areas regularly sharing at our school assemblies.

Rather than assembly only being about announcements and awards, we want to create more opportunities for students to show the school community what they have been learning and doing. Our 5/6 students will get us started this week, with other year levels and specialist areas taking turns across the term.

You can see the Term 4 Assembly Presentation Roster in the image below (updated), which sets out the order of class and specialist presentations across the term.

We’re looking forward to giving students the opportunity to share their learning with the wider school community.

Term 4 Means Hats!

With the warmer weather returning, please make sure students are bringing their school hat and a drink bottle each day. There will be plenty of warmer days ahead, and having these ready to go makes getting outside at recess, lunch and during learning much easier.
