Kindness

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Aesop

One of our new school values is Kindness. Last week we acknowledged Random Acts of Kindness Day (RAK) during class SEL lessons. I’d like to share some ideas that may help foster kindness and compassion at home. Feel free to choose the one that best fits your family.

  • Send a kindness message or card to a friend or relative that you have not contacted in a while.
  • Complete a ‘Random Act of Kindness’ to someone.
  • Create a ‘Kindness’ group with some friends. Consider including others who you don’t normally spend time with.
  • Make a list of all the kind people you know.

“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” Lao Tzu

Enjoy bringing kindness to the lives of each other.
