TOUCH FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPS!
We enjoy sharing our students' achievements here at St. Finbar’s and this is a very exciting one! A fortnight ago, now, we had two of our students; Emmett & Miles H compete at the Victorian Junior State Cup Touch Football Cup. It was a big step-up for Miles who is still only 8! The boys’ team played in a tough four pool matches over the day, with their 5th game being the Grand Final! In a nail-biting game, the GF was decided via extra time (in a drop-off) where Emmett and Miles and teammates came out on top!
This makes this team back-to-back State Champs, which is a huge achievement. The tournament was held at Bridges Recreation Reserve, Craigieburn. The Junior State Cup is run once a year and has teams from U10-U19 and come from all over greater Melbourne and as far as Shepparton.
Congratulations Emmett & Miles - it sounds like an amazing weekend of Touch Footy for you both!
