Principal Message

Be Kind, Be safe, Be respectful, Be responsible, Be resilient, Be ready

As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding Term 1, I would like to take a moment to reflect on some of the wonderful experiences shared across our school community at Our Lady Star of the Sea.

A highlight of the week was the Year 3 and 4 camp, held on Monday and Tuesday. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to step outside the classroom, build independence, and strengthen friendships. From all reports, the students embraced every activity with enthusiasm and demonstrated great teamwork, resilience, and spirit. Thank you to our dedicated staff who made this memorable experience possible.

Tomorrow, we look forward to coming together as a school community for our Project Compassion Water Walk and Bake Sale. This is a meaningful way for our students to engage in a faith-in-action activity and deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by others around the world, while actively supporting the important work of Caritas Australia. Your generosity will help raise vital funds this Easter season and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.

As the term concludes, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all families for the warm welcome I have received in my first term as Principal. It has been a joy getting to know our students, staff, and community, and I am truly grateful for your support and kindness.

Wishing all our families a happy and holy Easter, and a safe and restful school holiday break. I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 2. A reminder for families that Term 2 for students begins Wednesday, April 22.

Thank you again for your continued support of our school community.

Warm regards,

Pamela McKillop
