Dear Parents,

Over the past week we have been extremely busy in classrooms working on our planned units of work. We have had Mr Snow, our Director Educational Leadership, visit our school and all Stage 3, Stage 2 and Kinder classrooms. He was extremely impressed with the quality of the work he saw and the engagement of the children. We had Mrs Calder and Ms Lloyd speak to Mr Snow about our work in the Social/Emotional and Creative Domains of the HPGE and Mr Datt share what explicit teaching looks like across the school and our next level of work. Mrs Lee also spoke to Mr Snow about our explicit teaching journey and what our school is working towards. An incredibly successful week at Bathurst PS.

In the first two weeks of term, we have been sharing the updated Student Code of Conduct with the children. All children K-6 are very familiar with this document, which clearly explains what is expected from every student at school. I have emailed a copy to all parents early in Week 2 and have posted a copy below for your reference. We encourage all parents to familiarise themselves with the Revised Code of Conduct and thank you for continued support.

We currently have two CSU Practicum students working in our Kinder classes. We welcome Miss Chloe Press, working with KMc, and Miss Jaylyn Hands, working with KM. We know Chloe and Jaylyn will really enjoy their practicum experience at Bathurst Public School.

Congratulations to our Year 6 children on the way in which they represented our school at the Year 6 Interschool Sports Day last Friday. Our children were sensational! Well done, Year 6. Thank you to Mr Datt, Mr Jablonskis, Mrs Culham and Mrs Brooke-Smith on your support of the children on the day.
