Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy school holidays to all!
We had a great last week of term, finishing with an expertly led assembly by our Foundation and Year One class.
We welcomed both Preschool groups to Sacred Heart for an excursion and a school experience. I also got to visit the preschoolers at Khancoban Preschool and share our flyers about our upcoming Open Day and Parent Information session, as well as our Come & Try Foundation morning. We have had great interest and look forward to welcoming our 2027 prospective Foundation students.

Next week we will be launching our new school website. We look forward to sharing it with our school community once it its live, but for the moment, here's a sneak peek.

Last week our Semester One reports were shared via PAM. This semester we have made some adjustments to our reports after working with CESL to further align with the VCEA (Victorian Catholic Education Authority) reporting guidelines. Our reports provide an overview of the learning that has taken place across a broad range of curriculum areas throughout the semester. They also include an individualised comment on your child’s progress and achievements, along with teacher judgements regarding their attainment of curriculum and year-level standards. The Semester One report is one part of how we share your child's/ren's learning progress, other important parts include our Parent-Teacher-Child meetings, as well as our regular email communication and Parent Support Group meetings. If you have any questions about your child's reports, please organise a meeting with the classroom teacher on return from holidays. If you have any difficulty accessing your child's reports, please let me know (principal@shcorryong.catholic.edu.au) and I will organise a copy of the report for you and reset PAM passwords as required.
I hope you all enjoy the school holidays and the rain, we look forward to welcoming students to Term Three on Monday 13th of July.
If you need anything over the school holiday period, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Justine
