Week 4 snapshot ...........

Despite the short week due to a Curriculum Day on Monday, Naranga School has been buzzing with activity and achievement. Here's a snapshot of our week:
🧑🏫 Team Teach Professional Development
On Monday, our dedicated staff engaged in a Team Teach workshop, focusing on strategies that promote team building, personal safety, communication, and verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques. These approaches aim to support positive behaviours and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.
🛶 Upper Junior Adventure Camp at Illuka Retreat
The Upper Junior team embarked on their first of three activity days at Illuka Retreat in Shoreham. The retreat offers a range of tailored programs focusing on developing a student's love for the outdoors through fun, engaging, and educational activities. A highlight was the canoeing activity, with some students getting wet feet! The students are excited to participate in the upcoming adventure days.
👩🏫 Celebrating Education Support Staff
Today, the school community celebrated and acknowledged the wonderful contributions of the Education Support staff. Their efforts in supporting students and enhancing the Naranga community were recognised. Further celebrations are planned for next week, including a Wednesday school assembly and a special afternoon tea.
🌈 Education Week: 'Celebration of Cultures'
Next week marks the beginning of Education Week, the theme is 'Celebration of Cultures.' This theme highlights the diversity of communities and the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome at school. The week will commence with Rainbow Day on Monday, featuring various activities organised by the wellbeing team and SRC to celebrate the day.
With so many things to celebrate, there really is never a dull moment here at Naranga School. Here's to another fantastic week ahead!
