Cultural identity serves as the foundation of how individuals view themselves and their relationship with the world. It is a sense of belonging shaped by shared traditions, values, and beliefs that connect people to a particular group. As we navigate the complexities of modern life—where global influences blend with our heritage—our cultural identity can either be a source of pride or a barrier to understanding.

But how can we build bridges between different cultures in an increasingly interconnected world? Particularly at Craigieburn Secondary College, this is our problem of practice: one simple yet profound answer is kindness.

Why kindness matters in our school community, kindness is a universal force that transcends cultural boundaries, socioeconomic status, and beliefs. It is a superpower we all possess, it costs nothing, and it can profoundly change lives. We believe through our college values and the adoption of School Wide Positive Behaviours, we can make a difference.
