Chapel by the Lake
This term, our Senior School gathered by the lake for a special chapel service marking our Year 12 students’ final time of worship together as a College community. The weather could not have been more perfect for this reflective occasion.
The service focused on Matthew 6:25–30, where Jesus reminds us not to worry about our lives, pointing instead to the care God shows for all creation — the birds of the air and the flowers of the field. Just as God provides for them, so too God watches over each of us, offering guidance, provision and peace in every season.
For our Year 12s, this was a moment of transition — the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Students reflected on the years they’ve spent at the College, the friendships formed and the growth experienced.
As part of the service, Mr Schultz sang a song he had written especially for the Year 12 students. Students were then invited to take a flower and later float it on the lake — a gentle act symbolising gratitude, trust and letting go as they step forward into the next chapter of their lives.
Students and staff responded warmly to the service, finding the time outdoors by the lake meaningful at this time of transition. Many are already looking forward to Chapel by the Lake becoming a cherished tradition at the College for years to come.
May God bless you and your family.
