Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 2 of Term 2.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

We’ve had a fantastic week welcoming more children back to TheirCare. To help everyone ease into the routine, we embraced plenty of free play, allowing the kids to explore and enjoy their time together. Our days have been filled with creativity, as the children participated in a variety of arts and crafts activities. Each morning, we kicked things off with reading sessions, construction play, and colouring—many children were especially excited to choose their favourite colouring sheets. In the afternoons we kept the energy high with games like soccer, Gaga Ball, cricket, and tag. A highlight of the week was our indoor movie session on Tuesday, prompted by rainy weather. The children voted on the film and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy movie day, showing lots of excitement and engagement.

It’s been a meaningful and enjoyable week 2, and we’re looking forward to the weeks ahead.

PUPIL OF THE WEEK

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Oliver Clark. Oliver has shown incredible energy and enthusiasm in all our activities. He’s always ready to join in with a smile and brings such a positive vibe to the group. Most importantly, he’s been a great friend—always offering a helping hand and supporting others with kindness. Well done, Oliver!
