Acting Principal Report

Thank you to all our families for your understanding and support of our teachers and Education Support staff who took part in the industrial action on Tuesday 24th March. We appreciate your flexibility and the continued support you show our school community.

Our building works continue to progress, with construction currently taking place in the library and art room spaces. Underpinning is currently underway, which is a labour-intensive stage of the works. Thank you to our students, staff and families for your ongoing flexibility and patience during this time.

Next week, on Wednesday 1st April, we will be holding our school Cross Country event. Please see the attached photo for approximate event times, we look forward to a great day.

A reminder that next Thursday, 2nd April, is the final day of Term 1. We will be holding our end of term assembly at 9:00am, during which the Easter Raffle will be drawn.

Students will be dismissed early at 2:15pm.

I hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing holiday break when it comes around.

Kind regards,

Jarod Bacon

Assistant Principal Report

Farewell to Chloe Bamford

We share some bittersweet news with our SGPS community, as Chloe Bamford will be finishing up with us this Friday to begin a new role at Torquay Coast Primary School.

Chloe joined SGPS at the beginning of 2023, and in that time has become an incredibly valued member of our school community, particularly within our Admin Team. Her work has consistently been of the highest standard: thoughtful, reliable, and carried out with genuine care and professionalism. Chloe brings a warm, positive, and friendly energy to the office each day, and her willingness to support others has made a meaningful difference to staff, students, and families alike.

Chloe will be sincerely missed around SGPS. We know she will bring the same dedication, kindness, and excellence to her new role, and we wish her every success as she takes this exciting next step. Please join us in thanking Chloe for all she has contributed to our school and in wishing her all the very best for the future, we know she will be amazing.

Kind regards,

Mick Georgiadis
