Vocational Major

Term 2 has been busy in Vocational Major. 

Students have been visiting different local industries as part of their Work-Related Skills.

 

In Maths Year 11 students have been designing and then making Scale models of kites as a progression to following the Wright Brother's Glider prototypes. They have been studying converting measurements, area and perimeter as well as incorporating 2D and 3D Shapes

 

Also in Personal development students have attended the Black Rock Activity Centre as part of an Intergenerational Project in conjunction with Bayside Council. Students have participated in and delivered activities focussing on different aspects of health in the older adult. Communication skills were developed and new skills such as knitting, and Rummy O have been mastered by the students.
