Parents SFOE data
Schools receive funding based on two factors
- SRP funding based on the number of students enrolled at the school on the DET Census date
- Equity funding which is additional funding available to support students with additional needs
EQUITY FUNDING is provided to the school to support
- Students from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Students with disabilities
- Students from EAL backgrounds
- Disability Inclusion funding
Equity funding is used to develop more inclusive educational environments, and builds on quality teaching and differentiated learning practices. Equity funding supports the school to ensure all students to access and participate in education on an equal basis.
EQUITY FUNDING is based on the student family education index. In order to ensure we receive the funding we are entitled to we ask parents to update their data annually. While it is not compulsory for parents to advise schools in the case when family situations change for students, it is desirable. Parents need to be made aware of the consequences for the school of not providing updated parental occupation information.
Inaccurate or out of date data can potentially disadvantage our school when it comes to equity funding for the student resource package budget. When there is no parental occupation information, the occupation group defaults to group A (the highest group).
Parents will be provided with their student data via email - please check the details and ensure that the information is correct.
