Supporting our students

Wanderers Football Program

On Thursday morning 13th June, the Western Sydney Wanderers Media Liaison team came out to take some photos and to obtain some information about our Wanderers Football Program.

Cecil Hills High School was the first school to host this program and due to such great success here, the program is being expanded to include other schools.

Our students are showing some great skill, and the coaches are very impressed with how they play and how they conduct themselves. A big congratulations and thanks to both Mr Miller our Head Teacher Technology and Applied Studies (TAS)  and to Jonny our Student Support Officer for all their work in making this program happen and supporting our students.

Souths Cares – Year 9 Presentation

During Period 4 on Monday 17 June -  half of Year 9, members of the Support Unit and members of our Yarn Connect group watched a presentation by Souths Cares.  Two of the players from the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Shaquai Mitchell and Junior Tatola, spoke at length to our students about resilience and striving to achieve goals. It was a great session.

Many thanks to Mr Floresca for organising this session, and to Mr Clough for working with the YARN group.

Year 9 Police Talk

On Wednesday 26 June,  Year 9 students watched a police talk by Constable Glenn Clark. The talk centred around topics regarding online safety, appropriate behaviours and criminal age of consent. The students were well behaved and were highly engaged. Thanks to Ms Zaidan and Mr Banks for organising this talk for the students.
