I hope this newsletter finds you well. Semester One has been an incredibly fast, but exciting first half of the year.
I am immensely proud of our students and have been impressed by their academic achievements and extracurricular successes. Their progress is a testament to the hard work of our incredible teachers and staff, who have consistently gone above and beyond to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
I also want to express my gratitude to our parents and guardians. Your support and partnership are invaluable. Whether it's helping with homework or attending parent-teacher evenings, your involvement plays a crucial role in our students' achievements. Thank you for being active members of our school community.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a sense of unity and school pride, we would like to remind everyone of the importance of wearing the school uniform. Uniforms help to create an inclusive environment where students can focus on their studies and personal growth without the distractions of varying dress standards. To support this initiative, from Term 3 onwards the school will loan uniforms to students who arrive without the appropriate attire. This ensures that all students can participate fully in school activities and uphold our community standards.
The countdown to the Higher School Certificate (HSC) is officially underway, with the first exam in English scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 15th October 2024. This year's group will be the first to use our brand new hall, a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide the best possible environment for our students during their examinations. We are excited to offer this new space and confident it will contribute positively to the exam experience for our students.
We successfully completed the NSW Department of Education's External Validation process last Tuesday and I could not be more proud of our school community. The validation process was rigorous and highlighted the remarkable work of our team to ensure we provide high-quality education to our students every single day.
We have an exciting few months ahead as we work through the development of our future directions and the design of our new School Improvement Plan. Keep an eye out for opportunities to engage with us as part of Student and Parent Focus Groups.
As we move into the second half of the year, I encourage everyone to stay engaged and keep the lines of communication open. Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable as we strive to make our school an even better place for our students to learn and grow.
All students return to school for Term 3 on Tuesday, 23 July 2024.
Have a fantastic mid year break, stay safe and we’ll see you again in Term 3.
