Friends of Music Thank you and Volunteers

Thanks to all families who attended the Friends of Music Annual General Meeting at the end of February. Our committee for 2026 has been confirmed, and we're excited to start planning for this year.

In addition to organising raffle prizes and volunteers to support the music program's two Mid-Year Concerts in May and two Celebration Concerts in September, the Friends of Music committee also hosts an annual social family trivia night - which this year will be held on Saturday 9 May.

To help families plan ahead, we’ve included a link to the 2026 Music Calendar. All events in the calendar will be updated on Compass once final details are confirmed. The calendar will be revised at the start of each term, with any changes highlighted in red.

Term 1 - Key Dates

Monday 16 March	Training Band first rehearsal: 3:30pm - 4:45pm in Room 306.
Tuesday 17 March	Training Strings first rehearsal: 7:30am - 8:45am (students to arrive at 7:15am) in Room 306.
Monday 23 – Tuesday 24 March	Concert Band Tour to Geelong: See Compass for details.
Monday 23 March	Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Concert, The Rite of Spring: Hamer Hall, 100 St. Kilda Rd Southbank. Own Transport. Meet at Hamer Hall at 10:00am. More details on Compass closer to the event.
Monday 30 March	Performance for Year 7 Information Evening: Eltham High School, Students arrive by 5:00pm.
