Prep News ~
We are so impressed with how our new Prep students are settling into the routines of school life. They have shown a wonderful willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace each day with enthusiasm.
This term, we have been focusing on our school-wide expectations: Do Your Best, Help Others Succeed, and Respect Our School. Together, we have been exploring what doing your best looks like in different settings- in the classroom, while lining up, in church, and on the playground. We have also been learning how we can help our friends succeed through kindness, encouragement, and teamwork.
A particular focus has been on ‘leave no trace’ as a way of respecting our school environment. The students are learning to take pride in their spaces and care for them responsibly.
We have already witnessed friendships forming, many acts of kindness, children helping one another, growing independence, and increasing confidence. Our Prep classrooms are becoming settled, calm learning environments, and we are incredibly proud of the progress our students have made so far.

St Mel's Breaky Club ~
Come for breaky… second breakfast… or even third breakfast — all are welcome!
This week, our new Foundation students enjoyed trying out Breakfast Club for the first time and it’s safe to say they absolutely loved it! There were smiles, full tummies and a wonderful sense of community to start the day.
Breakfast Club is a beautiful way to gather, connect and ensure everyone begins the morning feeling nourished and ready to learn.
We look forward to welcoming more students as we continue to grow this special initiative.
Thank you to SPC & Bakers Delight City & Plaza who sponsors our St. Mel's Breakfast Club!
