SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY Term 1 Week 11 Wednesday 10th April - John Oxley Sporting Fields
The annual Cross Country will be held on Wednesday 10th April at John Oxley Sporting Fields.
Students in Infants K-2 will run 1km, Year 3-6 students aged 8-10yrs (any year 2 student who turns 8 this year is also included in this group) will run 2km and students aged 11-12 years will run 3km. It is the age your child turns this year.
Further information has been sent home. Most classes have started their preparations during their physical education lessons. Please encourage your child to prepare for this activity at home.
We extend our gratitude to the parents who have volunteered to help organize this event, along with the P and F members who will be in charge of the barbecue for lunch after the races and presentation ceremony.
POLDING SWIMMING TRIALS
We extend our best wishes to Jessica as she strives to secure a spot on the Polding team for the Under 11's Girls 50m Freestyle event at the Polding Swimming Trials, taking place at Sydney Olympic Park this upcoming Wednesday.
Diocesan Cricket Trials
Students in Years 5 and 6 who are involved in competitive cricket and are interested in being considered for the Diocesan team are encouraged to submit their names for the Diocesan CricketTrials. The trials are scheduled for Friday, 5th April at the Riverside 1 Cricket Fields in Tamworth. The expression of interest form was sent home to the families of interested students last week. We want to thank all the families who have already responded. The deadline for applications closes this afternoon.
POLDING WINTER TRIALS
We extend our best wishes to Jessica and Grace F as they strive to secure a position on the Polding team for Girls Hockey at the Polding Winter Trials in Tamworth on Friday, May 3rd.

St Patrick's Primary Sports Handbook
St Patrick's now has an official sports handbook and it has been updated after the school swimming carnival held recently. This book is designed to give all members associated with our school a clearer understanding of when our school conducts our various sporting carnivals, the processes/qualifying times involved for students who want to represent our school at Diocesan sporting events as well as an explanation of the representative sporting pathways your child may want to undertake in their respective sports.
