Careers at Naranga.......

On Wednesday evening, we held our annual Career Information Night. It was wonderful to see so many students and families come along to gather information and speak with the presenters about post‑schooling options.

Career education is a core focus in the senior school at Naranga. We acknowledge that effective career education is essential to both learning and wellbeing: it supports students’ engagement and motivation, empowers them to make informed decisions, and builds their confidence about the future.

Starting career conversations early in the senior school gives students time to develop self‑understanding and establish goals before making important life decisions. Our programs focus on building independent life skills and enhancing students’ work‑related competencies.

Equally important to career education is effective career counselling and supportive conversations. These play an integral role in developing potential pathways and preparing students for success both at school and beyond.

A big thank you to the teachers for organising the event, and especially to Brooke Winnett, who organised the evening and the work placements for students this term.

Bully Prevention Program – Week 3 Update

We have continued our Bully Prevention Program in Week 3. By adopting a whole‑school approach—involving school leaders, staff, students, families, and the wider community—we are implementing a proven strategy shown to reduce bullying behaviors by approximately 20–23%.

Students have been actively engaged in our activities to identify bullying behaviors and learn how to prevent them, helping them understand what healthy, respectful behaviour looks like.

Reminder

Don’t forget our Comfy Clothes Day, organised by the SRC, on Wednesday, 13 August.

Have a happy weekend!
