Looking Forward to Grandfriends' Day - Devotion

There are some days we look forward to with great excitement, and Grandfriends' Day is one of them! 

It is a special time when we can welcome our grandparents and special friends into our school to share in our learning, laughter and community. It is an opportunity to show kindness, gratitude and love to those who have encouraged and cared for us.

The Bible reminds us of the special blessing that comes when generations spend time together. In Psalm 145:4, we read:

"One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts." – Psalm 145:4 (NIV)

Each generation has something valuable to share. Our Grandfriends bring wisdom, stories and experiences that encourage and inspire us, while we can bless them with our enthusiasm, kindness and friendship. As we learn from one another, we also reflect God's love in how we care for one another.

The Apostle Paul reminds us:

"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." – Colossians 3:14 (NIV)

We are looking forward to welcoming our guests with warm smiles, kind words, and grateful hearts. May the love we share on Grandfriends' Day strengthen the special bonds between generations and remind us that God's family is enriched by people of every age.

Loving God, we thank You for the grandparents and special friends who share their love, wisdom and care with us. We pray that our time together on Grandfriends' Day will be filled with joy, laughter, meaningful conversations and treasured memories. May the love that binds us together continue to grow in our hearts, helping us to encourage one another, celebrate one another and reflect your goodness in all we do.
