Year 7 & 8 Campaspe Football

Rochester Secondary College had a competitive day on the football field today 30th April, taking on Rushworth P-12, St Joseph’s College, Echuca and St Augustine’s College, Kyabram across three matches.

The opening game against Rushworth was a strong start, with Rochy running out comfortable winners, 84 to 6. The team moved the ball well and made the most of their opportunities going forward.

In the second match against St Joseph’s, Rochy were challenged and went down by a considerable margin. Despite the result, the group continued to compete and showed resilience against a well-drilled opposition.

The final game against St Augustine’s saw Rochester bounce back well, securing a 40 to 15 win. The side regained momentum and finished the day on a positive note.

Better players across the three games included Harrison Wilkins, Josh Skeers, George McFadzean, Walt James, Seth Hunter and Luke Drust, who all had strong impacts.

Multiple goal kickers contributed throughout the day, with Harrison, Walt, George, Jack Howe, Trey Hayes, Hunter Sharp, Fin Rathjen and Hudson Cowan all hitting the scoreboard.
