Term two reflections..........

It has been wonderful to see staff and students putting the final touches on learning programs as we near the end of Term Two.

Students’ midyear reports are being finalised and will be sent home by the end of the term. In preparation for these reports, students are also completing personal reflections on their learning achievements throughout the first semester of 2025.

Horticulture – Building Works

The horticulture group has been working hard to prepare the new green space near our upper junior building. The students have been pruning the fruit trees in preparation for additional building works taking place over the holiday period. Keep an eye on this space for future vegetable gardens and Indigenous plantings.

Building Update

The Pathways Year 11 and 12 team received the exciting news that they will be moving into the new building space in Term Three. The specialist spaces will be ready for use in Week 1 for the whole school.

Anne Martin (Music Teacher) and Susan Dunn (Visual Arts) have been busy organising the specialist areas. Both spaces will be heavily utilised in Term Three during rehearsals for our annual concert.

Work Experience

In Term Three, the Year 10 and 11 students will be participating in work experience. The Year 10 cohort will be on placement each Tuesday, and the Year 11 students will be offsite each Thursday.

Thank you to Brooke Winnett, the Headstart Learning Leader based at Naranga, who is also our part-time Careers and Transition Teacher. Brooke has done an amazing job placing students in their individual areas of interest.

Next term, we will hold our Careers and Transition Evening. Although this event is targeted at the senior school, it is open to the wider Naranga community to come along and explore the future options available to our students.

Assembly

Just a reminder that the final term assembly will take place next Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to attend and help us celebrate the student achievements of Term Three.

Farewell to Sigrid

Finally, today was Sigrid’s last day as she begins her maternity leave. Sigrid, our valued speech therapist, will be greatly missed. We thank her for all her contributions to our community and wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.

Have a wonderful weekend.
