Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal 2025

On Wednesday, 18 June, St Joseph’s had a Winter Appeal to help support needy families in our local area. Students were asked to bring a food item to school, and wear a winter accessory. We had a lovely day staying warm while wearing scarves, gloves, beanies and Oodies! 

Thank you so much to all of our St Joseph’s families and staff for generously supporting our local St Vincent De Paul chapter, and raising much needed food for those who are struggling this winter. 

The Year 6 Mini Vinnies team were lucky enough to have time to speak with Peter Riordan (SVDP President, Corrimal chapter) when he came to collect the donations. He was very grateful to our SJB families and was overwhelmed by our amount of food we collected. Peter spoke to Year 6 about the amazing work SVDP does, along with the many ways they “give a hand up, not a hand out.”
