Coming Up at FWPS

Biketober
Next Friday, 17th October, we would love as many students and parents/carers as possible to walk, ride or scoot to school. Footscray West Primary School are taking part in Biketober this year. Biketober is a fun, friendly competition to get more students, parents and staff travelling actively to school, by walking, biking, or scooting. Schools and classes compete to see which can get the most students travelling actively school. We will announce the class with the most walking and wheeling students at assembly on Friday, 17th October.
If you are not able to walk or wheel to school that day, please don't worry!

Books 'n' Boots Donation Drive
Footscray West Primary School is once again collaborating with the wonderful, local charity Books 'n' Boots. Last year, our school community donated a record number of quality books to First Nations children in need. This year, the Marrung Student Representative Team are concentrating on the boots part of the charity.
We are looking for donations of footy boots (AFL and soccer), trainers and gumboots. We are accepting boots of any size (infant, child, teenager, adult etc). Please make sure they are clean and in good condition. These boots will be re-homed to First Nations children in need in regional and remote communities across Australia.
The big, wooden Books 'n' Boots donation box can once again be found in the foyer of the school office. Please drop your clean shoe donations directly into the box before the end of Term 4, Week 4.
Thank you in advance!
