Week 6, Term 1 2025

Principals Message

Kia ora Ridgeview whānau,

What a fantastic week it has been at Ridgeview School! Our students have been engaged in exciting learning experiences across all year levels, showing great enthusiasm and dedication in their classrooms. It’s wonderful to see their hard work and curiosity shining through in their learning.

A special congratulations to Ngarara House, our winning house this week! Their teamwork, effort, and school spirit have been outstanding—ka pai!

As we move through the term, we continue to focus on student achievement and well-being, ensuring every child is supported and challenged in their learning journey. We appreciate your ongoing support in making Ridgeview a place where students thrive.

Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable weekend.

Ngā mihi nui,

Cassey Prentice

Swimming Carnival

This Friday after lunch we invite all families to join us for our swimming carnival. This will start at 1.50pm.

At lunch time there will be a sausage sizzle and burgers for sale - please pay online as we move away from cash.

Sustainability Learning – Chickens at Ridgeview!

Pakari students have been diving into sustainability by learning all about chickens—their life cycle, care, and role in sustainable living! Each class will get the chance to hold and look after the chicks before they move outside. We’re excited to keep the female chickens and eventually use their eggs as part of our long-term sustainability learning.

To support this project, we’re on the lookout for a brooder, chicken waterer, and heat lamp. If you have any of these items to donate, we’d greatly appreciate it!

Thank you for your support! 🐣🌱

Parent Hui Meeting

Please join us on Thursday 13th March for our Parent Feedback evening at 6pm

Come and meet the chickens, hear about some of the kids learnings, see an introduction to our currently Maths program and also raise any questions you might have.

Students will be supervised by teachers during this time and our student leaders will be planning some fun activities for them to do.

Hope to see you all there!
