The Easter season is almost complete, and this coming Sunday sees the Feast of the Ascension, and Jesus alludes to it in the Gospel from last Sunday. He implores us to keep His word and continue to love Him. “I am going away,” he says, “and will return.” This is a great assurance, we know that He will come again.
The St Patrick’s College retreat program is well under way for 2025, our Year 12s, 11s and 9s have all have the experience of a retreat so far this year. The Year 10 retreat will take place later this term and the Year 7 and 8 retreats will be in Term 3.
The retreat program at St Pat’s aims to expand on our college pillars of Faith, Tradition, Excellence and Joy, and in doing so aim to fulfill part of our Vision and Mission in educating hope-filled, compassionate and confident young men for their place in the world.
Retreats play a vital role in a student's holistic education by offering a break from the routine academic environment and providing opportunities for personal growth, reflection, and self-discovery.
These experiences foster a deeper understanding of oneself and others, allowing students to step outside their comfort zones. The College is committed to investing the time, resources and expense into this important part of the education offered at St Pat’s.
Mass at 1.50pm on Thursdays continues to be offered. Attendance is welcomed by all. In recent weeks we have had many students and staff come along to Mass and be enriched by the wisdom and joy that Father Eladio continues to provide us as our college Chaplain. We are blessed to have him.
