OSHC Update from the Service Coordinator

Theircare runs quality Before and After School Care five days a week at Menzies Creek P.S.

My name is Libby and I have been working in OSHC for about five years. I am passionate about supporting families and providing opportunities for children to learn through play. I am a qualified teacher, with experience at both secondary and primary level, and am particularly interested in neuro-affirming education. I have four grown children, two of whom are neuro-divergent. I am also a practicing artist with a studio at Burrinja Cultural Centre in Upwey.

OSHC doesn’t only provide opportunities for children to socialise, play and be cared for, whilst parents work. It can also be a great resource for parents who need occasional care. Drop in and see me for enrolment information if you are interested. Activities include arts and crafts, games and outdoor play. We also share afternoon tea together.

Lately, we have been enjoying playing with our new Hot Wheels track, making different roads with hills and tunnels. The children have enjoyed testing all the cars and seeing how far they can go. Our favourite card game at the moment is Rat-a-Tat-Cat. It really tests my memory!
