As we come to the end of Term 1, we would like to thank all of our students, staff and families for a wonderful start to the school year.

At Banyule Primary School, we remain committed to supporting the whole child, with a strong focus on ensuring every student feels happy, safe, supported and ready to learn. Our motto, Happy Kids Learn, continues to guide all that we do, alongside our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Care and Doing Your Best.

It has been a busy and productive term filled with learning, growth and many opportunities for students to connect, participate and thrive. It has been lovely to see students settling into their classrooms, building positive relationships and embracing all that school life has to offer.

It has also been a busy term in the grounds with our sandpit shade sail going up, works beginning on the ramp and the fitness station project almost complete. During Easter break, the vinyl floor surface being replaced in the Block B (BER building) student and staff toilets.

We love our local community being 'neighbourhood watch eyes' for us over the breaks. As always, if you see anything untoward happening in our school, please contact our friends at Heidelberg Police station.

Throughout the term, students have engaged in rich learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, and we are proud of the way they have demonstrated resilience, curiosity and enthusiasm in their learning.

Thank you to our staff for their dedication and care, and to our families for your ongoing support. A strong school community is built on connection and collaboration, and we greatly value the role our families play in supporting students to be ready for learning and respectful members of our school community.

We wish all of our students and families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2 on Monday 20th April.

Natalie, Sam and Claire
