Ms D Principal Message

It has been an outstanding start to the year at Toorak Primary School, with both students and staff settling quickly into learning routines and embracing the many opportunities on offer.
Our students have already participated in a wide range of enriching experiences. The energy and house spirit on display at our House Swimming Carnival was fantastic, with students demonstrating great sportsmanship and enthusiasm. This was followed by our Cross Country event, where students showed determination, resilience and encouragement of one another.
A highlight of the term has been the Year 6 Camp to Sovereign Hill. Students have had a wonderful time immersing themselves in the history of the gold rush, building independence and strengthening friendships along the way.
We also proudly celebrated Harmony Week, recognising and valuing the diversity within our school community. It was wonderful to see students engaging in activities that promote inclusion, respect and a sense of belonging.
Our Year 3 and 5 students approached NAPLAN with confidence and maturity. We are very proud of the way they demonstrated focus and perseverance throughout the assessment period.
Community events have also played a big part in our positive start. Our Spatzenschule special lunches have been a highlight for many students, while the Easter raffle and Year 6 icy pole fundraisers have showcased the strong community spirit within our school.
As we come to the end of a busy and successful term, we wish all families a safe and relaxing two-week break. For those celebrating Easter, we hope you enjoy this special time with family and friends.
Overall, it has been a highly successful and productive start to the year. I would like to thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment, and our families for their continued support. We look forward to building on this strong foundation as the year progresses.
