ROTARY PEACE POLE

On Friday, the Social Justice team joined with the Hastings Rotary group to make a commitment to Peace both locally and globally, with a special focus on our relationship with each other and our community.

To mark 100 years of Rotary in Australia, Rotary had a goal to spread messages of Peace by donating Peace Poles to schools and communities, a goal they have exceeded. They are now over 600 Peace Poles across Australia, which have all been donated by Rotary.

The main message of the Peace Poles is-

“May Peace Prevail on Earth.”

Our Peace Pole is set on the oval and is a symbol of peace, hope and reflection.
