Principal's News

Dear Famlies of Trinity Primary School,
Congratulations to our whole school community this week as we have had so much on that has required everyone working together, students, parents and staff. Of course the big one was our Senior Camp with nearly sixty children and eight staff attending as well as countless parents organizing and preparing their children for the big adventure. From all reports the three days were a huge success and our goals of enabling our children to have these learning experiences outside the classroom and away from home were certainly achieved. A very big thankyou to Mr Anania our camp leader and all staff, not just those on camp with the children but staff back at school who covered extra duties or helped out in other ways in the lead up and days following. A bonus this year will be a visit from the Ranch Camp Director in a few weeks who will work with our seniors to further explore their camp experience from a wellbeing perspective.
Prep Outdoor Education
Another aspect of our Outdoor Education Program involved our Prep Students today visiting the Kew Traffic School. This excursion is an extremely important one whch focusses on traffic safety and allows the children to experience some real life situations which they will no doubt encounter, especially as they become more independent travelling to and from school. As well as this they will begin their swimming lessons next week with children from Year One and Year Two. Fingers crossed the sun is shining for us over the next two weeks.
Congratulations Mr Ru
As communicated recently, Mr Ru will be leaving us at the end of this year as he has been seconded to St Anthony's Primary School, Glen Huntly as Acting Principal, commencing next year. As you all know, Ru has been an important member of our school community in the short time he has been with us always willing and able to do whatever needs to be done and has made a very positive contribution to how the school has grown over the past few years. He will of course be sadly missed by all of us but we wish him well in this next chapter in his leadership journey.
Trinity’s Little Library
Thanks to some generous donations, our little Library has been restocked ready for you to enjoy some fabulous new reading! We have some new exciting reading for senior classes too! Have you used the Little Library yet? It is out the front of our school, just to the side of the office. Please come visit and take a book home to enjoy. If you have any spare books to give, please just put them inside. Only children’s books, please.
Enjoy!
