A Reminder About Safe and Respectful School Drop-Off and Pick-Up
As a school community, we all play an important role in ensuring our students arrive at and leave school safely each day.
We ask all parents and carers to be mindful of their driving and parking practices during drop-off and pick-up times. We understand that school traffic can be challenging, particularly during busy periods and with roadworks. By following road rules, parking legally, and showing consideration for pedestrians, cyclists, other drivers, and our local residents, we can help create a safer environment for everyone.
Please remember to:
- Park only in designated and legal parking areas.
- Avoid stopping across driveways, intersections, or pedestrian crossings.
- Keep footpaths and nature strips clear.
- Drive slowly and remain alert for children and other road users, including cyclists.
- Consider parking a short distance from the school and walking where possible.
We value our strong relationship with our neighbours and the local community and appreciate your support in helping maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment around our school.

A thankful heart for the adventure that was the Primary Production of Peter Pan
Not many people get a look behind the curtain of a primary school production. As both a parent and a staff member, I feel privileged to have a special insight into all that goes on behind the scenes as well as on the stage.
What really stood out to me was witnessing the heart behind the show. Parents and staff members alike gave up their free time to make this event a success. From the quiet word to an anxious student, to sourcing props, painting pirate ships, and hanging hundreds of costumes back on hangers, there was so much love and dedication poured into every detail.
Most of all, it was about encouraging others to use their God-given talents in song and dance, being brave enough to step into a space where you are vulnerable to forgetting your lines or missing your place on the stage, and learning to trust that even in those moments, God has His hand upon you.
We really are made for community. It is in these small interactions that our community sees the love of God shining through.
The production itself was a wild ride into Neverland and the magic of being a child who escapes the realities of life into a world of make-believe. Along the way, we met some incredible and entertaining characters, including a crocodile, who was one of my personal favourites on stage!
Congratulations to everyone who stepped onto the stage and brought their characters to life. It truly was a treasure for us all to enjoy.
Again, a heartfelt thank you to the many, many hands that helped lighten the load for our staff. And finally, to the dedicated staff themselves: your heart was seen and deeply appreciated. We are grateful to have you as part of our community and count it a blessing to our college as a whole.

End of Term Community Worship Night
Save the date!
On Tuesday 8th September from 7pm in the MPH, our students will once again host a special night of worship. We are excited to join together as a whole college community to worship and lift up praise to our God.
Look out for the opportunity to RSVP (essential for coordinating) very soon. Parents of students in Primary - Year 9 need to RSVP indicating the number attending from your family, and act as supervisors. Students in Year 10-12 may RSVP unaccompanied by parental supervision.
We warmly invite you to come and join together with the students as a community of believers.
Heart of the Valley update
We are excited to announce that our Heart of the Valley community evening will now be held on Thursday 22 October.
While this year's event will look a little different from previous celebrations, its purpose remains the same: bringing our community together to celebrate the incredible creativity, talent and achievements of our students.
Guests can look forward to an inspiring evening showcasing student work, performances and creative projects, while connecting with fellow families, staff and community members. We look forward to welcoming families on Thursday 22 October for a special evening that reflects the heart of our community and celebrates how we are all Made to Create.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)
Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD).
The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019).
Information provided about students to the Australian Government for the NCCD includes:
- year of schooling
- category of disability: physical, cognitive, sensory or social/emotional
level of adjustment provided: support provided within quality differentiated teaching practice, supplementary, substantial or extensive.
This information assists schools to:
- formally recognise the supports and adjustments provided to students with disability in schools
- consider how they can strengthen the support of students with disability in schools
develop shared practices so that they can review their learning programs in order to improve educational outcomes for students with disability.
The NCCD provides state and federal governments with the information they need to plan more broadly for the support of students with disability.
The NCCD will have no direct impact on your child and your child will not be involved in any testing process. The school will provide data to the Australian Government in such a way that no individual student will be able to be identified – the privacy and confidentiality of all students is ensured. All information is protected by privacy laws that regulate the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information.
