'Start A Band'

School Production

Our production, ‘Start A Band’ successfully took place on August 1st, at Crossway Theatre. The nine main characters (played as Doc, Cody, Brody, Rick, Zowie, Bowie, Jemma, Joanie and Spike) unfold the story of a group of music students going on an adventure through a time machine to investigate a variety of musical styles from K-pop to Country, in order to find out their own musical style to start a band.

When roles were allocated, the Year 5 & 6 students who undertook leading roles spent numerous hours, including three lunchtimes per week, rehearsing for the next four months. The effort, commitment and dedication to learning all the lines, actions and positions on stage was remarkable and led to an extremely successful production.

In addition, every class throughout Foundation to Year 6 rehearsed constantly; practising their songs, refining their dance moves and creating costume props for a polished performance. This definitely was a thrilling, fun and memorable learning experience for everyone involved.

Special thanks to all the dedicated BEPS students, staff and community for synergising together to put on a remarkable show, in particular:
