Principal's Report

Dear Families,
We have had a great start to Term 4 and next week we'll be half-way through the term already. Our year 4 and year 6 students have been on their camps over the past few weeks and from all reports and photos it looks as though some great memories have been made. You can see some of the photos of the 6 camp, as well as last term's year 5 camp, shared on the senior school page.
Once again, my appreciation goes to the teachers and support staff who leave their own families to spend this time helping our students feel supported and cared for while away from home. We know that memories built during camps and excursions are sometimes the things children remember the most from school as they get older and reflect back on their time at school. We are lucky to have staff willing to make this happen.
FRONT OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS
If you have visited the office recently, you will have noticed our new automatic doors. Just one of a few upgrades we are making to the front of the school to try and open it up a bit more. Soon you will note the front fenceline being adjusted to make a more distinctive and attractive front of school area.
We are also using fundraising money from this year to improve our eating area outside the canteen, where we host breakfast club.
Other changes to the school environment include relocation of our art room into the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) building. Miss Mitchell's current year 1 classroom will be moved into the main building and the art room will be moved into that room. Miss Berrill's classroom will remain where it is this year, but next year all of our year prep and one students will be in the main building and the PAC will be an ART and Language Specialist Centre, housing Art, Drama and Auslan.
