SSV Beachside Athletics 2025 Duncan McKinnon
On Friday 10th of October, St Agnes’ competed in the SSV Beachside Athletics against many other schools in the Beachside District. The team was composed of 25 St Agnes’ students from Years 4, 5 and 6.
The weather was a real combination of what Melbourne can offer up in a day. Sunny, windy, dark clouds and a few spots of rain, followed by sunshine again. The wind was so strong that organisers had to run the hurdles event in reverse so that the hurdles wouldn't blow over. St Agnes’ students did very well this year and their results are posted below. Overall it is an achievement just to make it to beachside athletics, some of our students got places and even won their races. Unfortunately those that finished first and second in their races were part of the slower heats and will not progress to the next level. But what a great result anyway.
I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Baker who helped out and parents that came to support the students. Most of all I thank the team for doing an amazing job representing St Agnes’. We are all very proud of you.
