Rock & Water Social Skills Program

Brimbank Youth Services is running a free Rock & Water social skills program for Brimbank young people aged 11-14 years. It will be run at Sydenham Neighbourhood House every Wednesday afternoon for six weeks, starting on Wednesday 5th November.

About the no cost program:

The Rock & Water program is a psycho physical program focusing on self-awareness, social awareness, self-control, communication and relationship skills. Because the program is psycho physical, it is heavily activity and exercise based rather than talk based, so it will be really engaging and fun for participants.

Rock & Water focuses on Social and Emotional Learning competencies which develop skills to:

  • Nurture a positive sense of self
  • Promote respectful relationships
  • Build capacity to manage emotions, behaviours, and interactions with others
