Captains Corner

Wow! What an incredible year it has been! We can’t believe we are finally at the end of the year. It’s gone by insanely fast. It felt like yesterday that we were writing our first ever newsletter piece and here we are writing to last one. 

As 2025 comes to an end, we have so many exciting opportunities happening here at GWPS. Class parties, assemblies filled with awards and different types of accolades.

Starting off with class parties, all the parties will be held on Tuesday the 16th of December. The celebrations are coming closer and closer and only in a few days; the party will arrive way too soon. In only one week the school year will finish so many positives have been achieved this year. A highly successful 2026 Day, a perfectly executed Year 6 Graduation and how could we forget Prep Prom. 

We have two very exciting assemblies to go, which will be action - packed. They are sure to never be forgotten! All families are welcome to join us on 19th of December for our final school assembly of 2025. 

Even though the excitement is real, we all must make sure that we continue to be a role model. Make sure to still be the best version of yourself at all times because we still have 1 week, or 5 days or if you want to call it, 25 sessions to go.  

2026 Day was filled with great excitement and joy across the whole school. It was a day to be remembered. Next year’s classes have been now figured out and I’m sure everyone is going to be happy with their new teacher and peers in their classroom.
