CAFS is seeking more foster carers to provide homes for children in out-of-home care.
On any given day there are about 1,600 children in foster care placements in Victoria and about 470 children in residential care. The number of children in out-of-home care in Victoria is increasing while the number of foster carers is decreasing (AIHW 2023).
To learn more about becoming a foster carer, scan the QR code below or visit cafs.org.au.
Please be reminded that further industrial action is planned for next week, impacting V/Line services on Monday, 19 February and Friday, 23 February.
Trains will not run from first service until approximately 8am on both of these days and temporary timetables will be in operation.
Students and staff are advised to avoid travelling in the morning as a very limited coach replacement service will operate until 8am with significant delays expected. Coaches will not stop at any metropolitan stations.
Passengers travelling home with V/Line on these days are also encouraged to check the V/Line website as there may be ongoing delays and cancellations.
