News from the Deputy Principal
Dear Families and Friends,
Parents ask me to provide resources to support their families with recent diagnoses, behavioural or regulation strategies, and information each year. I have some information about neurodivergence for you. I will showcase some helpful resources to assist you each fortnight.
If you would like any particular focus, please feel free to reach out in an email.
Kind Regards,
Katie
Did you know that many famous people are neurodivergent?
Neurodiversity refers to how our brains are wired, how we think, move, process information and communicate. Neurodivergent people use Neurodiversity as an umbrella term to describe thinking styles such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Autism and ADHD.
A Focus on ADHD
ADHD is one of the most common neurological disorders in childhood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviours (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active.
