Kitchen Garden Program

Our Year 3 & 4 students made delicious Veggie-Filled Sausage Rolls in their cooking rotation of our Kitchen Garden program! They practised important food preparation techniques, including grating and dicing vegetables, and harvested fresh silverbeet from our school garden to add to their recipe. Students also learnt how to brush the pastry with milk to create a beautiful golden finish while baking. It was wonderful to see everyone working safely, cooperatively and confidently in the kitchen- and the finished sausage rolls were a big hit!
