Catholic Education Week Mass:
Last week, all 3 Catholic primary schools in our community (included some representatives from Trinity) gathered together to celebrate Catholic Education week. The children were very reverent and respectful during mass where Fr. Andrew reminded us that being a part of a Catholic school reminds us that we treat others with the same love that God has for every person, every day. The Grade 6s from all Catholic primary schools, enjoyed a fun session with Andre and a shared lunch at Memorial Square. Thanks to all who helped coordinate and assisted in making this day a special Catholic education celebration.
Sacraments:
Following the sacramental meeting with Fr. Andrew a couple of weeks ago, students who have registered for Reconciliation will be celebrating this sacrament on Tuesday the 9th of June at either 3:30pm or 5:45pm. This sacrament is one that resonates in our everyday lives so often because as humans, we know we will make mistakes, we will hurt others and in seeking forgiveness and sharing that forgiveness with others, we are reminded of God’s uncompromising love for us all.
Reconciliation Week:
We have been ‘All In’ with our Indigenous people this week for National Reconciliation Week. Yesterday, the students wore indigenous colours and took part in a walk around the gardens to appreciate our land and to acknowledge the great connection that our Indigenous people have with the land.
Holy Trinity Sunday:
This coming Sunday May the 31st is the solemnity of the Holy Trinity which falls exactly one week after Pentecost. This day celebrates the mystery of our faith that is the Holy Trinity; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
