Year 10 Students Begin VCE Pathways Planning for 2027

Over the past few weeks, our current Year 10 students have commenced their pathways planning and course selection process as they prepare to enter VCE in 2027.

This is an important stage in each student's educational journey, providing an opportunity to explore future career pathways, consider personal interests and strengths, and make informed decisions about their senior secondary studies.

We would like to acknowledge several key supports provided by school during this process:

1. Individual Career Counselling Sessions

   A huge thank you to our Careers Coordinators for organising one-on-one career counselling sessions for our international students. These personalised meetings have helped students explore their future study and career options and make informed subject choices.

2. Careers Expo: 

   Students attended the VCE and  Career Expo at Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre.

3. VCE Subject Tasters: 

   All the students participated in the VCE Subjects Tasters classes to gain a general  idea of  the course content  and  expectations.

4. VCE Course Selection Handbook 2027: 

   The VCE Course Selection Handbook 2027 has been distributed to students as a valuable guide to the subjects and programs available for their VCE studies.

5. Parent Information and Support:

   Parents have been informed about and guided through their child's course selection process. This communication helps ensure families understand the available options and can support their children in making confident decisions, reducing any concerns or uncertainty about future pathways.

Our school will open the Edval Webchoice pre-selections online this week.  In Term 3, students and parents / carers will be allocated an individual online Course Selection session to discuss their choices further and finalise their preferences.  We wish students to make the best choices for a successful and rewarding VCE experience.
