Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all the students who competed in the District Swimming sports last Thursday.  Thank you to Emily Reed for her excellent organisation and to staff who supported our students on the day.  What a team of champions!

All students who competed on the day did so with such great positivity and resilience.  What a great community we have with so many parents attending, cheering the students on and making sure our students know they are part of a wonderful village.

Congratulations to the students who attended St. Peter’s Shoreham Sunday for the Reconciliation commitment Mass. It was such a lovely faith filled occasion and we look forward to supporting our students throughout the reconciliation program over the next few weeks. A special thanks to Maria Milan our Faith Leader for all she is doing to support our students and families.

We have a special World Prayer Day Mass this Friday at 2pm led by the Year 5s and we invite all of our community to come together as we pray for peace across our world.

Thank you to all parents who have volunteered their time to assist this year at St Joseph’s. We will be in touch with you soon to communicate regarding your volunteer role and we appreciate all of our parents for assisting us with many different aspects of the school.

I highlight how wonderful our school is and the amazing culture we have built together. Every member of the St Joseph’s community are the keepers of this faith filled  culture and we value the highest of standards in our actions and interactions at all times.

Thank you to most of our parents for signing the code of conduct. This is a very important document that outlines the non-negotiables of how we are at St Joseph’s.

As outlined in our recent communication, St Joseph’s is committed to a safe and respectful environment. The Code of Conduct, which is a condition of enrolment under Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS), states:

"Unacceptable conduct includes... any form of threatening language, gestures or conduct... or language which is likely to offend, harass, or bully any student, employee, contractor, or volunteer."

Our staff members are dedicated professionals who deserve a workplace free from aggression. While we understand that school events and incidents involving your child can be emotive, the safety and wellbeing of our staff and students remain our absolute priority and we ask that you always show the utmost trust and respect for our staff at all times.

This pertains to emails, phone calls, face to face interactions, sporting events  and all forms of communication as we strive to be the most respectful, faith filled community we can be.

We have our parent action plan to follow if something does arise and I ask all parents to please have this located in a place they can access if required.

We are here to always have your child’s best interest as the highest priority and we are diligent with following any incident up in a professional manner.

I ask that you please allow staff to have some personal time.  Staff will not answer emails or See Saw messages after 8pm and before 6am. If you send communication to a staff member they may take time to reply which I ask you all to respect.

If anything is of an urgent nature please do not hesitate to email me on principal@sjcribpoint.catholic.edu.au and I will reply in a timely manner.

I look forward to working with you in partnership throughout 2026.
