Next week, students in Years 7-11 are encouraged to audition for our next whole school production of NEWSIES, to be staged in Week 5 of Term 2 2025 with rehearsals commencing in the new year.
The show will be staged in conjunction with Loreto College, and we are very excited to work with Loreto students in bringing this fantastic story to life.
Students must register to audition via the links below. Auditions will be held at lunch times and after school during Week 6.
Please ensure you have read the audition pack to prepare for the audition. Email Ms Allen if you need access to the pack: mallen@stpats.vic.edu.au
Next Thursday, 14 November our Year 11 Theatre Studies students will perform their monologues for an audience of parents, friends and teachers. This evening will be performed alongside our Loreto peers, and you are welcome to attend this free event.
When: Thursday 14th November 6:30pm
Where: Abbey Theatre at Mary’s Mount Centre (Loreto College)
Book your tickets to the fast-approaching Year 7-9 production of The Lion King Jr! The cast and crew are working hard to bring this musical to life. Excitingly, we have secured the newly constructed ‘Pride Rock’ set piece this week.
Huge thanks to Ms Jeanean Pritchard and Ms Wendy Sheridan for their generous support of our production through their art skills. This week they have been busy painting Pride Rock with the help of the art club and backstage crew members. This awesome set piece was made by the SPC maintenance team so a big shoutout to Tom Swan and Will Cousens for all their efforts on this central part of the show.
We cannot wait to share some more images with you as costumes, set and props continue to be developed.

Congratulations to the actors and designers of the Year 9 and 10 Theatre Studies classes who performed ‘The 39 Steps’ last Wednesday night in the PAC auditorium. What a joyful occasion it was with the audience in stitches throughout as the absurd comedy took us on a journey across the many settings throughout the play. This production was entirely student led with students directing, acting and creating set, costume, props, lighting, sound and digital projections for the show. Their hard work was well rewarded by the energetic audience who had rave reviews for them afterwards. Thank you to Mrs Bashford-Leger for her guidance of these classes and to Mr Snibson who supported the technical execution on the night.
