The sacrament of Confirmation will be held on Sunday, 13th September. Thank you to those families who have attended our Information and Enrolment Night. If your child has not enrolled, please ensure you attend a weekend Parish Mass and let Father Roel know you are there to enrol. It is a requirement that all candidates enrol.

On Saturday, 15th August we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Assumption marks the end of Mary’s earthly life as she was taken to heaven, body and soul. It is an important day to remember as Mary was taken both physically and spiritually into Heaven to live with her son, Jesus, for ever. Students will participate in a special class prayer to mark the day.
Please come along to our Family Mass on Sunday, 23rd August, 9.00am at Mary Help of Christians Church. Spend some time as a family, meet and mingle with other members of our Parish. Students from Years 2 & 5 will be reading and taking part in the offertory procession. Years 2 & 5 are asked to bring something to share for morning tea.
All families are welcome!

Our annual Father's Day Breakfast is fast approaching. Please see the flyer on the General News page of the newsletter for dates, details and a catering link. We look forward to celebrating with all of our wonderful dads!

St Edward's will be celebrating the CBCA Book Week in Week 6. There will be many different activities held at both libraries during Week 6 to celebrate. This year's CBCA theme is "Symphony of Stories". One of our students' most loved events is our annual Book Week Parade. We invite students to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. We also welcome members of our school community to join us in celebrating "Book Week" and see our wonderful students parade in their favourite book character costumes.
Date and times for the 2026 Book Week Parade:
Infants - Wednesday, 26th August at 8.45 am
Primary - Wednesday, 26th August at 10.00 am

We are very excited to give the students at St Edward’s Primary School the opportunity to participate in the 2026 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Every student at the Infants Campus will automatically be signed up for the challenge and read books from the challenge as part of their class and library sessions.
Primary students wanting to participate in this year's challenge will need to see Mrs Michell in the library to sign up.
Students are encouraged to log onto the PRC website from home to log their books, or Mrs Michell can log them in the library. Students should now start to log the books they have read. Students can also discover books that are part of the PRC using the link above. If you have any problems with logging books or accessing, please reach out.
If you have any questions, please reach out.
