PYP Corner - Value of Courage and the Learner Profile

This term, students have been focusing on demonstrating the school value of COURAGE across all areas of their learning and behaviour.

Students will be encouraged to try new things and bounce back when faced with challenges.

“Be Brave, Bounce Back” 

When we show the value of courage, we are being risk-takers and reflective. 

We would like to celebrate our students who demonstrated risk-taking at school in the following ways:

• when engaging in new sports, play and games
• through the creation of their artwork as part of the Student Art Show 
• working with different students from within their class 
• during Wellbeing sessions and Circle Time; demonstrating resilience and being upstanders

We look forward to our students being active reflectors at Monday's Student Led Conferences. This is the chance to think back and consider their learning journeys, growth, strengths and areas for continued improvement. We are proud of our students' achievements across the learning areas in 2026.

Over the term, we will continue to reflect on how we can show these attributes each and everyday as Lifelong Learners. 

The teachers have been looking out for students who have shown these two attributes. We will be taking the time to acknowledge these students at upcoming Assemblies. We will also acknowledge students by name in our end of term Newsletter.
