VCE and Art Academy Exhibition 2024

Our annual Art Design and Technology exhibition is taking place on Wednesday 6th November, 6pm to 8pm, Innovation Centre - Holloway Campus. The exhibition will feature student work from VCE Art Making and Exhibiting, Media, Visual Communication Design and our Art Academy.

Year 9 Visual Communication Design Report - Shipping Container Conversions 

Last term, our Year 9 students embarked on an exciting and innovative design project aimed at addressing the cost of living. The challenge was to repurpose a shipping container into a functional and affordable living space. Utilising human-centered research methods, the students explored various needs and preferences to create their unique solutions. 

Through this project, students were introduced to essential design conventions, including technical floor plans and stylized floor plans. They demonstrated remarkable skill and creativity in translating their ideas into detailed and accurate technical drawings. 

Additionally, our young designers excelled in creating stunning 3D architectural models of the exteriors of their shipping container homes. These models showcased not only their understanding of design principles but also their ability to bring their imaginative concepts to life. 

We are incredibly proud of the talents and hard work displayed by our Year 9 cohort. Their innovative designs and dedication to the project are truly commendable. Please take a moment to admire some of their outstanding work featured in the photos below.
